Torah Iyun / Depth Class - Spring 2024

Iyun means ‘deliberation,’ and refers to in-depth text study, as opposed to broad overview study.

Come join R'Dev for this four (4) week class and 
learn skills and tools for Torah study, and explore the craft of teaching Torah. This class is a requirement for folks in the Adult B’Mitzvah Program, and is open to all. Participants will have the option to develop a drash/Torah teaching to share as part of our all-night learning space on Shavuot (June 11-12). 

Weekly on Tuesdays from 7:15-9:15pm.

Cost:*
  • Members: $96 for series ($24 per session) 
  • Non-members: $112 for series ($28 per session) 
    *No one turned away for lack of ability to pay; please pay what you can at registration or $0.

Location: IN-PERSON in the Social Hall at Kehilla Community Synagogue. Please enter through the Courtyard, for accessible entrance use the bus stop door on Grand Avenue.

For in-person attendance, please adhere to the Kehilla COVID Public Health Protocols.

  1. Anyone experiencing ANY symptoms of potentially contagious illness should remain at home and access Kehilla events virtually.
  2. All people over the age of four attending in-person Kehilla events or services are expected to be masked indoors when not eating: N95, KN95, KF94 or comparable masks required.
  3. In keeping with our health and safety protocols, Kehilla will provide maximum air filtration and ventilation. Doors and windows will be opened whenever possible.

All events at Kehilla are scent-free.

In case of last minute updates
Masks are required indoors, except for the teacher while teaching, who will take a COVID test before each class.
